Baton Rouge in San Jose is a transit-oriented community that adds needed and affordable housing stock to the South Bay’s largest city. Of medium to high density at 27 homes per acre and situated on 3.4 acres, the three-story cluster of residential buildings is near two light rail stations in the Berryessa area of San Jose.

The former orchard property was acquired by Trumark Companies in October 2002 and entitled for 91 condominium homes. The $400,000 to $650,000 attached homes are targeted for entry-level home buyers and empty nesters. There are 12 buildings with four, seven or eight homes per building. The woodframed structures are stucco or brick veneer exteriors, wood or stucco trims and concrete tile roofs. Each home has a private porch or deck and a first floor, two-car garage.
