Over a period of approximately two years and much collaboration between Trumark, city planners and public officials, residents and the business park, Trumark was able to convey the advantages of adding valuable housing stock to a popular urban area and thereby address the jobs/housing imbalance and help reduce overall vehicle traffic and trip generation by placing homes within existing city infrastructure.

Perhaps the most challenging community development project
undertaken by Trumark Companies in its history, Citrus Walk
in Walnut Creek was a perfect site for urban infill housing that
required time and patience for all stakeholders to understand
the merits of this project. Originally embraced by city leaders
to change the designation of this 3.8-acre site from designated
office use to residential, slower to accept the change was the
adjacent business park association and some of the residents
within the nearby Woodlands residential subdivision. );)
