Cottage Park

Cottage Park was designed with a diverse home buyer profile in mind and Trumark Companies created four distinctive product types with a variety of home styles and lot con- figurations to appeal to a broad audience. At the same time, the community had to meet acceptable standards for housing with the City of Hayward, which has historically been a proponent of large-lot subdivisions. With Cottage Park, Hayward officials recognized the need for greater density to achieve a higher housing unit count for this five-acre plot of land and former nursery, yet without compromising the essential character of its city.

The 46-detached homes mostly range from over 1,500 to more than 2,200 square feet. Two of the plans appeal to buyers that value the dwelling space over underutilized yard area while two of the plans feature traditional, street-loaded homes with generous back yards.
