February 23, 2001 -- Trumark Companies announced today the acquisition of 4185 Blackhawk Circle Plaza, a commercial building the residential developer and its affiliate, Trumark Commercial, will occupy as its headquarters. The building is 28,000 square feet, of which the Trumark companies will occupy 6,000 square feet. The move will be completed in the next week. Mount Diablo Bank and Chicago Title are tenants in the building, which is located in Blackhawk Plaza. The seller was KOT, a limited partnership. Sale price was not disclosed. "We've been busy and grew out of leased space nearby. Owning our own headquarters to accommodate future growth made the most sense," said Gregg Nelson, a principal of both firms. Trumark Companies LLC and its affiliate, Trumark Commercial LLC, are Danville, Calif.-based entities specializing in residential and commercial developments throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 1994, Gregg Nelson and Mike Maples are principals of Trumark Companies and Ron Winter, along with Messrs. Nelson and Maples, are principals of Trumark Commercial. Combined, the development companies are currently developing over $400 million worth of residential land and commercial real estate throughout the greater Bay Area. In the past six years, Trumark Companies has gain entitlements for more than 1,500 home sites and sold them to Ryland Homes, Kaufman & Broad, Pulte Homes and others. Trumark Commercial is developing over one million square feet of R&D, office/flex space in Fremont (Warm Springs Corporate Center), in Livermore (Copper Hill Business Park) and in Newark (Stevenson Point Tech Park).
