Trumark Companies Expands into Southern California
President Jason Kliewer Relocates to Orange County to run residential development

November 8, 2004 -- Lake Forest, Calif. - Trumark Companies principals Gregg Nelson and Mike Maples announced that the real estate developer has expanded into Southern California with operations to buy and entitle land for residential use in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ontario, Ventura and San Diego counties. The Danville, Calif.-based developer of infill housing developments and neighborhoods also announced that Trumark Cos. President Jason Kliewer has relocated to Orange County and would lead the company's expansion here.

Trumark Companies is pursuing development and acquisition opportunities, similar to the kind that has fueled its success in Northern California. Trumark has converted former industrial properties, aging retail strip centers, landscape nurseries, surplus school sites and other properties into housing for more than a decade. The company has entitled more than 2,000 home sites and sold them to the state's top homebuilders. Jason Kliewer was born in Long Beach, Calif. He graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles and earned a law degree from Pepperdine University. He worked at a law firm in San Diego before joining Trumark in 1998. He was vice president of land acquisitions before his promotion to president in June 2002.
