The Preda Street site plan includes a public open space element consisting of a walking trail along the San Leandro Creek and a central park. The central park area is located where Preda Street currently exists and widens out into the Creek. The park includes walkways that connect to the creekside trail, and such passive amenities as park benches and barbecues. Streetscape elements will provide mature attractive landscaping to the community. Enhanced paving at the project entrances adds a sense of richness at the pedestrian level. An attractive 12-foot high perimeter wall will be placed at the east end of the project to mitigate noise from the adjacent train use.
